Our trip to the Rabbit Town (Latvia)

March 11, 2015  •  Leave a Comment

I don't know about you, but we are now big fans of cute little rabbits. It has started last summer with our trip to the Rabbit Town, close to Rundale Castle (beautiful Rundale Castle deserves a blog post of its own).

There is a Latvian carpenter that has built amazing little houses for its rabbits, a whole rabbit town that is currently home for more than 65 rabbit breeds. We were not aware of this, simply discovered it by chance. Spent two hours visiting all the cute rabbits, feeding them, running after ducks and cats, enjoying the sunset and leaving with a sigh. Especially because at the very end of our visit the rabbits were running free on the alleys of their town :)

We have promised ourselves will go back, but it's a bit far from Vilnius and we are still hoping we are going to find something similar closer to our current home. The Lithuanian Touristic Office promised will look into our kind request for help.

Meanwhile, we look again and again at the photos we have taken. We hope will convince some of you to join us for the next trip to the Rabbit Town.
